NOAA: Analysis of Weather Events with Major Impact in Human Health and Economics (1950-2011)
Based on weather events database collected by U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA), this analysis identifies that the most impacting weather events in human health beeing the Tornados, with about 91,346 injuries and 5,633 fatalities in the period of 1950 thru 2011; aswell as the Floods that adds up to $150.32 billions in property and crop damages, for the same period. Raw data was downloaded, decompressed and removed some inconsistences in Event Type Column. Three main Plots describe the results of the top 10 events that impacts human health and economics of US in case of weather events.
