Human and Economic cost of Weather Events across the United States
The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database was analyzed to determine the deadliest and costliest weather events across the United States. Accross the United States the deadliest type of weather events are Tornadoes. They have killed 5,633 and injured 91,346. The costliest weather events are Floods costing 144.66 Billion in property damage and 5.66 Billion in crop damage.
