Making Maps in R

This second lab assignment is built with aggregating data from different sources in mind, tied to the zip code field. This reuses the geopackage file made from last weeks lab data read as three sf objects of NYC zip code areas, food retail stores, and health facilities. [Note this assumes a file structure wherein all tables are already stored under a ./data directory].

This map shows the percentage of people in households who don't speak English as their primary language at home.

This project analyzes fatalities in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from 2020 to 2023. The dataset includes both quantitative variables (age, number of fatalities) and categorical variables (citizenship, location). The goal is to explore patterns in fatalities over time and compare differences between Palestinian and Israeli populations. the project aims to better understand which group is most affected and how patterns differ across time and regions.
