In this project, we investigated the phenomenon of home advantage in the German Bundesliga, focusing on factors influencing the number of goals scored in football matches. Utilizing data spanning 18 seasons from 2009 to 2023, our primary research involved modeling these factors to ascertain their influence on match outcomes, particularly the goals scored by home and away teams. By applying multilevel models to account for hierarchical relationships within the data, we identified significant patterns.
