Five Foot Sea Level Rise in the Context of Relative County Populations, Florida Panhandle
Visualization of remaining land from a 5-foot sea level rise scenario in the Florida Panhandle (approximated boundaries). This projected scenario is based on Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) of the land area shown. The land layer can be toggled on and off to focus on and click the county boundaries to view county names. County population ranges, based on 2024 estimates, are comprised of five classifications. Three of the counties bordering the coastline belong to the largest population class. The DEMs were sourced from USGS, and the counties dataset was obtained from the Census Bureau.
