Precision and Generality: Discovering Chebyshev
This document explains Chebyshev's inequality. It tells us the smallest percentage of data that is inside a range from the mean. We compare two experiments. One uses a normal distribution, where most data is close to the mean. The other uses an exponential distribution, where data is more spread out. The experiments show that Chebyshev's inequality is very general. When we know the type of data, we can use better methods.
