A Draft Vignette for the CoRe Analysis Package
CoRe Analysis is a software package which can be used to conduct inference on the non-centrality parameters of test-statistics (NCP). The NCP of a test-statistic can be used to quantify the deviation of the observed results from the null, and is the basis for power calculations. In the scientific literature, it is often the case that only significant results are published and/or receive major attention. This creates a problem often referred to as *publication bias*, where published effect sizes are often overestimated compared to the true underlying signal due to this selective publishing. CoReAnalysis addresses this publication bias by incorporating our knowledge regarding the publication process into the statistical inference procedure.
