Burnout
This scripts refers to the a survey analysis included in a doctoral thesis focuses on the study of burnout within three central government organisations in Portugal. A sociological lens and a multilevel analysis perspective were adopted to understand the causal determinants of burnout related to the idiosyncrasies of public administration, and the model of work organisation. The methodology combines structural, organisational, relational and individual analysis. A mixed methods approach was used, comprising of a triangulation between documentary analysis, a survey, and semi-structured individual interviews. This script refers to the analysis of a survey administered to 213 civil servants that was included in the thesis.
Predictive Insights into Diabetic Foot Amputation
This analysis uses electronic medical records from 434 patients with Diabetic Foot Infection (DFI), in a tertiary care hospital in Central Malaysia, between January 2010 and December 2019. The objective was to investigate the predictive factors associated with amputation in DFI patients. The information extracted included demographics, clinical characteristics (inflammatory markers and clinical complications), and amputation details. Binary logistic regression was performed to identify significant major vs minor amputation predictors.
Method for Text Mining of Letters of Intent on Implementation Research in LMICs
This method and code automatically extract information from research proposals (or Letters of Intent) submitted for the final assessment of the World Health Organisation’s Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases Massive Online Open Course on Implementation Research. The information to extract consists of tropical diseases, countries, world regions, research methods, and implementation research strategies and outcomes.
