The purpose of this report is to evaluate the effects of severe weather events on both public health and the economy within the United States. Utilizing data collected from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) storm database spanning from 1950 to 2011, the analysis aims to identify the most hazardous weather events in terms of population health and the ones causing the most significant economic impact.
