This report presents a preliminary analysis of U.S. state variation in reproductive health policy, healthcare access, and OBGYN workforce participation. Using Commonwealth Fund indicators and Guttmacher Institute policy ratings, we compare state rankings and health outcomes across policy environments, assess rural–urban disparities, and evaluate associations between reproductive health indicators and rural population share. Additional analyses describe trends in OBGYN participation in Medicaid and population-to-provider ratios, highlighting differences across restrictive, middle ground, and protective policy contexts.
